2005 as a woman owned-business. As a single mother and inspiring entrepreneur , Tammy decided to open up a simple store on EBay under the user-name "Wholesalebatterygirl". Tammy went against the odds of selling batteries "auction style", and discovered that those odds paid off as customers began to call from all over the world.
 
The Battery Store eventually found its way into becoming a Federal Government vendor (CCR, Central Contractor Registration) and now serves such clients as: Nashville Electric, Media Works Communications, large manufacturing companies, hospitals, the music industry, and more.  
 
In 2009, Tammy was nominated for the Nashville Business Woman of the Year award because of her dedication to the community, political background, and strong leadership skills.
